Who Are YOU?

Lady Gaga once said, “Don’t you ever let a soul in the world tell you that you can’t be exactly who you are.” You will never advance in life living for someone else’s purpose. Not knowing who I was allowed people to redefine me for their own benefit. I am not argumentative and I can be extremely sensitive- so people sometime use that to their advantage. Some used anger, arguments and pressure as a means to get me to cave in to their demands. Even though I didn’t want to do half the stuff I took on, I did it anyway. I felt like standing up for myself would have taken me out of character and walking away would have burned a bridge between us. Since I was all about pleasing others, I abandoned my dignity and self-love just so people could walk away fulfilled. I had to ask myself, “How was that helping me”? It wasn’t. Therefore, I had to make a decision- them or me. Once I did the work and made the choices, I found my real purpose and passion. The deterrent train no longer stops at my station.

I hope that you are living in your purpose and not living in someone else’s confusion. You are so deserving of the life you envisioned regardless of what others think or say. Some of the things you can do to help toward your purpose are;

•    Learn about you

•    Experience life

•    Go back to school

•    Love yourself

Your purpose is your passport.

You must know where you are going in order to arrive there.
