Did Naya Rivera call minorites dirty ??
“Glee” star, Naya Rivera recently made some questionable comments about the hygiene of ethic people.
While appearing as a guest co-host on “The View,” Naya chimed in on the show’s hot topic study about how often people should shower.
"I think that white people shower a lot more than ethnic," Naya commented on the study. "I feel like showering more than once a day or every day is such a white people thing."
When an African American woman in the audience objected to Naya’s statements, she defended herself saying, "My mom is half black, half Puerto Rican. She showers every day, so I can say this. But I'm now married to a white man and he showers a lot, like two, three times a day.”
Naturally, the Twitter-verse was not too happy at Naya suggesting that minorities are not hygienic, so the following day she appeared on “The View,” and made an apology.
"Showering. Biggest topic in pop culture today, in my opinion. Thanks to me, unfortunately," she said the next day. ”Yesterday, we were talking about a study that says you're supposed to shower once or twice every three days. I had an opinion on it that was supposed to be a joke. Apparently it didn't go over so well.”
