The Lil' Wayne vs. Birdman Beef Heats Up
Lil’ Wayne’s “Sorry for the Wait 2” mixtape first began buzzing after the release of his raunchy duet with rumored girlfriend, Christina Milian on the “Drunk in Love Remix.”
Now, fans and critics are talking about Wayne’s mixtape for the diss aimed at Cash Money co-founder, Birdman.
In his song, “Coco” Wayne disses Birdman in a series of rhymes that read:
“Who kept this s**t together? N***a, me, that's who!
Who was there when n***as left? N***a, me that's who!"
Cash Money is an army, I'm a one man army!"
It’s no secret that Wayne and Birdman have a growing beef over Birdman’s alleged refusal to release Wayne’s album.
Last month, Wayne commented on his beef with Birdman via Twitter and accused the CEO/rapper of treating him like a prisoner.
“I want off this label and nothing to do with these people but unfortunately it ain’t that easy,” Wayne tweeted.
He then added, “I am a prisoner and so is my creativity Again,I am truly sorry and I don’t blame ya if ya fed up with waiting 4 me & this album. But thk u.”
Up until now, Birdman has not responded publicly to Wayne’s disses.
But TMZ is now reporting that Birdman is furious with Wayne and plans to keep Wayne under the Cash Money label out of spite.
Wayne's song, "I'm Sorry for the Wait," is especially galling to Birdman because he feels the man he calls "son" is treating him like some random producer,” says a TMZ rep.
It’s pretty sad to see things turn sour between Wayne and Birdman. We had initial hope for these two men to make amends, but now it seems that things have gotten to the point of no return.
What are your thoughts? Will Wayne and Birdman be able to patch things up or are they doomed for war? Sound off below!
