Grammys 2015 Best and Worst Dressed
Sunday, Feb. 8 marked the music industry’s biggest night. All of the the stars came out to celebrate the best in music at this year’s Grammy awards . And while some arrived red carpet ready, others certainly missed the mark. Here is our pick for the Grammy’s 2015 Best and Worst Dressed List
P.S. Congratulations to newcomer, Sam Smith who won four Grammys including Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album!
Taylor Swift: Taylor Swift may not have performed at the Grammys this year, but she DELIVERED on the red carpet with a stunning structured, teal-colored Elie Saab high-low gown. The dress in itself is a statement piece, so we are loving the fact that Taylor kept it simple with accessories and let the dress do the talking. Taylor wore light burgundy Giuseppe Zanetti sandals for a pop of color and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
Katy Perry: Fresh off her epic Super Bowl performance, Katy Perry continued to shine at this year’s Grammy awards. The “Dark Horse” singer sported a rocker chic look that featured a form fitting, crystal-embellished dress by Zuhair Murad. Like Taylor, she let the dress do the talking and wore minimal accessories except for chandelier drop earrings. Her now statement purple colored hair was also a perfect accessory for the rocker chick look.
Kim Kardashian: While some may have called Kim Kardashian Grammys attire an expensive bathrobe, we are calling it red carpet gold. Kim Kardashian glistened on the red carpet with an all gold Jean Paul Gaultier low-cut robe. It might have not been a conventional look for the Grammys, but Kim owned it and her short beach wavy hair and sun-kissed look was the perfect pairing for the overall look
Lady Gaga: Now we wouldn’t say she was the best look of the night, but she’s on our list for making such a great turnaround from what we’re used to seeing from her. Usually we see Lady Gaga dressed as an egg or covered in bacon, but at this year’s Grammys she embraced her curves and sported a form fitting low-cut and high slit silver Brandon Maxwell gown. And while we could do with out her Lorraine Schwartz drop necklace, we give Gaga an A+ because her transformation this year was out of this world
Rihanna: We usually love Rihanna for her fashion risks, but this one missed the mark…BIG TIME. We couldn’t tell whether Rih-Rih was going to the Grammys or going to her Quinceanera. Not to mention, her bun was not fully combed and the look just did not come together. But one thing we did like is that even in that dress, Rihanna knows how to pose her a** off. Rihanna twirled for the camera like Hollywood gold and in some photos it made us even question whether we really didn’t like the dress. Kudos to you Rihanna for knowing how to work a red carpet and kudos for covering up this time around…but you might have gone overboard. Rihanna wore a Giambattista Valli gown.
Ariana Grande: She just won’t let go of that damn ponytail. Ariana played it safe once again with her now redundant high ponytail and a white and silver Versace gown. The dress looked very high school prom and so did the hair. We just wish Ariana would switch it up and take some risks. You are one of the “It” girls in the music industry right now so your looks shouldn’t be so underwhelming. Step it up Ariana.
Madonna: We couldn’t tell whether Madonna was getting ready to perform at a Burlesque show or going to the Grammy’s this year. Madonna sported a Givenchy corset and a whole bunch of other stuff we can’t pin point. We get it, you’re still hot Madonna but you are doing THE MOST
Meghan Trainor: Meghan, Meghan, Meghan….where do we begin? There’s really not much to say about the dress expect for huh? Meghan’s Galia Lahav gown was ill fitting, unflattering, and just overall bad. This is one of the biggest nights of your career …dress like it.
