Kathy Griffin Quits ‘FashionPolice’ After 7 Episodes
On Thursday, March 12, Kathy Griffin took to Twitter to make a shocking announcement—she’s quitting “Fashion Police.”
In a lengthy tweet, where she described her accomplishments as a comedian, Kathy named her creative differences with E! as the reason why she chose to leave the show.
"After seven episodes of Fashion Police, I discovered that my style doesn't fit with the creative direction of the show & now it's time to move on,” she wrote, adding, “I wish E! and the E! team only the best and I hope to continue to make you all laugh performing live or on television where I can be smart, irreverent, unrepentant and unafraid in an observational way that is candid, honest and justified. Thank you to my fans for taking this ride with me.”
E! also issued a statement addressing Kathy’s departure and revealed that the show would continue on March 30 with current co-hosts, Giuliana Rancic, Brad Goreski, and executive producer, Melissa Rivers.
Now that Kathy is leaving, this most likely means that E! is looking for a second person to hire on the show.
As we all know by now, Kelly Osbourne also quit recently after Giuliana made a distasteful comment about her friend, Zendaya’s hair.
We aren’t sure if Kathy was also offended by Giuliana’s comments, but it certainly seems odd that Kathy is quitting right after Kelly.
Hmm…could Giuliana be “Fashion Police’s” mean girl?
Rumor has it that now Naya Rivera, Amber Rose, Khloe Kardashian, and Chrissy Teigen are all in the running to replace Kelly. There’s been no word yet on who will replace Kathy.
Hopefully, E! can get it together with “Fashion Police.” Since Joan Rivers’ passing, the show just hasn’t been the same and it may be time to call it quits. What do you guys think? Should E! axe “Fashion Police?” Sound off below!
