It’s been almost a year since Paula Patton and Robin Thicke announced their split and while Robin has gone a public plea to win back Paula’s love, we never heard from Paula herself on how she feels.

Until now.

In a recent interview with “Good Morning America,” Paula revealed that she is moving on and has no plans to reconcile with her long love, Robin Thicke.

"I mean, the honest truth is, it has been challenging. But it's been a year of growth… learning about all new things," she said. “I feel like everything happens for a reason… And then you have to move on and grow from there.”

Paula officially filed for divorce from Robin in October and asked for joint custody of their son Julian who is 4-years old.

Paula explained that her son is the reason why she was able to move on and move forward with her life.

"The thing is, you can't wallow in sadness or stay in bed when you have a child. And they're so full of life and wonder. And he brings me so much joy," Paula explained. "Usually the positive in your life outweighs that and you have to just be thankful for what you have right now."

So far, Robin has not responded to Paula’s comments about their split. He is currently in the midst of a trial regarding the copyright infringement of his hit song, “Blurred Lines” in which Marvin Gaye's estate has accused Thicke and Pharrell Williams of stealing parts of Marvin’s song “Got to Give it Up” to use for “Blurred Lines.”
