In a recent interview with The Mirror UK, legendary singer Chaka Khan admitted to not being surprised by the news of Bobbi Kristina’s hospitalization.

And though she confesses to not being shocked, Khan—who was a close friend to Whitney Houston—says she is still very hurt and disappointed by the tragic news.

"I’ve been in conversation with the family," Khan told Mirror UK. ”Everyone’s devastated, everyone. I love Bobbi Kristina, I love Whitney, I love Bobby Brown. I love Cissy — I love them all. But we just have to wait for what happens next. All I want to do is be there for them. I just need to pray.”

When asked to share how she thinks the late Whitney Houston would feel about Bobbi’s current health status, Khan responded, “Whitney would be devastated. I wish she was here... You really don’t know what this is like for a mother until it happens to you. I think I’m pretty close to feeling what she would have felt and what she’s feeling right now, wherever she is.”

Bobbi Kristina still remains in a medically induced coma and has shown no signs of waking up.

Last week, Bobbi Kristina’s maternal grandmother, Cissy Houston spoke out about her granddaughter’s hospitalization and said that the Houston/Brown families still have some hope that she might pull through.

Our sincerest thoughts and prayers go out to the Houston and Brown families at this time.
