Comedian, D.L. Hughley, sat down for an interview with Oprah for her “Where Are They Now?” segment and showed us a side of himself that was contrary to his usual playful tone when he began to talk about his son, Kyle. Kyle, 26, was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome at a tender age, and like most individuals with Asperger’s, he has lived this life on a specific routine. This all changed when Hughley had to put gas in his car and Kyle said, “Daddy, I’ll do it.” Many would see this as only a small gesture, but an enormous step for Kyle. Hughley continued: "I'm a nervous wreck... So he comes back in and he gives me the receipt and the keys," D.L. pauses, then breaks down. "And I could not stop crying, because he did something he was afraid to do … I just didn't believe he could do it. He did it.” "And I held him and I said, you’re gonna be all right.' And I think sometimes I don't know for sure, but he's gonna be fine," Hugley says. "He'll be fine."
