As the Billboard Latin Music Awards date creeps up, news has broken that Jennifer Lopez will be, again, paying tribute to Selena Quintanilla. J.Lo first paid tribute to Selena in the 1997“Selena” biopic. With an all-too-real resemblance to the late great singer, Lopez captured the full essence of Selena, making Latin music lovers fall in love with Selena and her smash hits all over again. There is no word on exactly what hits J.Lo will be performing, but she has expressed her excitement about being able to honor Selena yet again in an interview with Al Rojo Vivo saying, "It's an honor, a great honor to be able to, 20 years after her death, to do a tribute for Selena."

Selena was murdered by the then president of her fan club, Yolanda Saldívar, in Chorpus Christi, Texas in 1995 at the tender age of 23. Her loss was a complete devastation to the Latin community. This year marks the 20th anniversary of her death.

The Billboard Latin Music Awards are set to air live on the Telemundo network on April, 30th.
