In a recent interview with Grazia magazine, Taraji P. Henson revealed that Lil’ Kim reached out to her about guest starring on “Empire.”

Taraji explained that Lil’ Kim contacted her via Twitter about appearing on the hit FOX series and she immediately got excited and put in a good word for Lil’ Kim.

FOX has yet to confirm Lil’ Kim’s involvement in “Empire.” But rumor has it that “Empire’s” upcoming second season will have a number of A-list celebrity guest appearances including Denzel Washington.

In a separate interview with Us Weekly, Taraji also weighed in on the Baltimore riots and described the violent protests as “very, very scary.”

“I’m the mother of an African-American young man,” Taraji said. “It’s very scary, the times we’re living in. I mean, it’s almost like it’s The Twilight Zone. Because look at how well we’re getting along here and then you turn on the news and it’s like a reminder of how bad things really are."

Taraji P. Henson was recently honored by the American Black Film Festival.
