Iggy Azalea Admits she Struggles with Body Confidence
Just a few weeks after her appearance at the Billboard Awards with what appeared to be a surgically enhanced face, Iggy Azalea admitted in a recent interview with Australia’s “Today” show that she struggles with body confidence.
She explained that being a celebrity and constantly being scrutinized increased her lack of self-esteem issues and she sometimes feels like just “crawling into a cave” and hiding herself.
“Some days I want to crawl into a cave because I don’t feel confident at all, and then other days I feel great,” she revealed, adding. “I think it’s like that for all human beings, not just young women. I think being confident 100-per cent every day is something to aspire to, but I don’t think it’s humanly possible for anybody.”
Despite her struggles with confidence, Iggy offered up some advice to women who are struggling with the same issues she has.
“I think it’s just having that honest moment with yourself and other people, and almost admitting and embracing that your flaws are the thing about you that you sometimes feel bad about but they can empower your own self,” she advised.
So far, Iggy has only admitted to having breast implants and has not mentioned anything about undergoing plastic surgery to her face—-although her face looks A LOT different these days.
Sources claim that Iggy hasn’t been happy with her looks for many years and accepting her natural appearance has allegedly been a huge struggle for her.
In this day and age where Instagram and pop culture seems to be the focal point of most people’s lives, it’s easy to get caught up with trying to “look perfect.” But you will quickly find that is unattainable. Beauty is not just skin deep and there are so many other factors that attribute to one’s beauty.
What happened to accepting ourselves naturally instead of trying to look like one “ideal” form of beauty?
