Are T.I. and Iggy Azalea no Longer Working Together?
During a recent interview on Hot 97’s “Ebro in the Morning” radio show, ATL rapper T.I. insinuated that he and his protege Iggy Azalea are no longer working together.
Though T.I. helped mold and catapult Iggy’s success, he revealed that the drama surrounding Iggy’s lack of authenticity in hip hop culture put a huge strain on their working relationship.
“It took a bit of a rest stop,” T.I. said in response to whether he and Iggy still work together. T.I. also revealed that he stopped talking to Iggy altogether.
The “No Mediocre” rapper explained that managing Iggy became increasingly difficult for him every time she chose to engage in Twitter beef with what seemed like the entire hip hop industry.
Iggy’s popularity quickly dwindled when fellow rappers and industry heads accused her of appropriating black culture.
“It’s very difficult to be the new kid and to be the butt of the jokes and to be directed, like, be the direction of all the negativity, you know what I mean?” T.I. said about Iggy.
He continued, “[Iggy] came at a time when culturally, this nation — she’s not from here — we were actually looking for a source for somewhere to place some pent-up aggression… And they just got it for no reason. In some cases, they brought it upon themselves, and in some cases, they were kind of just the easiest place to put some pent up aggression.”

But despite T.I. comments on the status of he and Iggy’s work partnership, Iggy immediately went on Twitter to slam the accusation that she and T.I. severed ties.
“Im sure tip will publicly clarify what he meant when he feels he has the right platform to do so and other than that, im chillin,” Iggy recently tweeted.
Surely enough, T.I. responded to Iggy’s tweet and assured her and her fans that there is no bad blood between them and they will continue working together in the future.
