Kerry Washington Expresses Disappointment Over AdWeek Cover Photo
On Tuesday April 5, Kerry Washington took to Instagram to express her disappointment over her AdWeek Cover Photo that hit stands this week.
Though she applauded the publication for releasing a wonderful interview story about her, she admitted that she felt “weary” looking at the cover photo “that is so different from what I look like when I look in the mirror. It's an unfortunate feeling.”
Still, Kerry expressed her continued support of Adweek and encouraged her fans to buy its latest issue.

Following her comments, Adweek’s editorial director James Cooper released a statement claiming that the publication made “minimal adjustments” to Kerry Washington’s photo and “meant no disrespect.”
“Kerry Washington is a class act. We are honored to have her grace our pages. To clarify, we made minimal adjustments, solely for the cover’s design needs. We meant no disrespect, quite the opposite. We are glad she is enthusiastic about the piece and appreciate her honest comments,” he said.
