11-Year-Old Actress Ariana Neal to Play Nicki Minaj in New Sitcom
Several weeks ago, Nicki Minaj announced a search for the young actress that would portray her in her upcoming ABC sitcom “Nicki.”
And after several weeks searching for new talent, 11-year-old actress Ariana Neal has officially landed the role of Young Nicki Minaj in the new sitcom “Nicki” about the rapper’s life.
Nicki took to Instagram to introduce Ariana to her fans and praise the young actress for her impressive audition that ultimately landed her the role.
And though this will undoubtedly be Ariana’s biggest gig to date, she is already a veteran to show business. Ariana has appeared in countless movies including “Fruitvale Station” and “Get Hard.”
According to her official website, she moved from Illinois to Atlanta with her family in order to pursue her acting career.
A release date for the upcoming sitcom has yet to be revealed. However, we do know that Nicki Minaj will executive produce and appear in the comedic sitcom about her family’s immigration to the U.S. from Trinidad and her life experience growing up in Queens. The show will reportedly delve into Nicki’s journey to becoming a musical icon.
“Nicki” will feature Selita Ebanks, Wesley Jonathan and McCarrie McCausland and Whoopi Goldberg.
