T.I. Apologizes for Misogynistic Comment About Hillary Clinton and Women

By Anny Jules

T.I. had a classic foot-in-mouth moment and now he’s apologizing for it.

During a recent interview with DJ Whoo Kid, T.I. said that he would not vote for Hillary Clinton aspresident because she is a woman and women tend to “make rash decisions emotionally.”

Say what!?

T.I. apparently feels that women are incapable of being leaders, but regardless of his misogynistic comment he insists that he’s not trying to be sexist.

“Not to be sexist but, I can’t vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman,” he said. “Just because, every other position that exists, I think a woman could do well. But the president? It’s kinda like, I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally – they make very permanent, cemented decisions – and then later, it’s kind of like it didn’t happen, or they didn’t mean for it to happen.”

He added, “And I sure would hate to just set off a nuke. [Other leaders] will not be able to negotiate the right kinds of foreign policy; the world ain’t ready yet. I think you might be able to the Loch Ness Monster elected before you could [get a woman].”

Naturally, T.I.’s comments caused an uproar on social media and even garnered the attention of Oprah who called out the ATL rapper.

T.I. has since apologized for his senseless remarks but the general consensus is that T.I.’s apology is far from sincere.

Here’s what he had to say on Twitter:

What are your thoughts on T.I.’s initial comments and Twitter apology? Is he being genuine?
