Zendaya Embraces her Figure, Flaunts Un-retouched Photos

It’s no secret that celebrity photos and even the average social media user’s Instagram photo has some sort of editing and retouching done, but more times than none, people take retouching a bit too far.

Retouching gone wrong is exactly what happened to actress/singer Zendaya Coleman when she posed for the front cover of “Modeliste” magazine.

The retouched “Modeliste” cover of Zendaya features her looking thinner which is shocking because Zendaya is already slender as is.

So like many other celebrities that have come forward to slam their retouched photos, Zendaya went to Instagram to post a side by side photo of her retouched and un-retouched “Modeliste” cover.

Alongside the photo, Zendaya thanked “Modeliste” for agreeing to take down her retouched picture, but she also voiced her opinion that overly retouched photos in media perpetuates insecurity in women who wish to adhere to the media’s standards of beauty.

“These are the things that make women self conscious, that create the unrealistic ideals of beauty that we have. Anyone who knows who I am knows I stand for honest and pure self love,” she wrote.

Kudos to you Zendaya for embracing yourself and your undeniable beauty. It’s refreshing to see a young star be such a positive role model for her young fans and for women worldwide. Salute!
