Keke Palmer recently appeared on “The Wendy Williams Show” to deny rumors that she has a crush on Cory Hardrict, Tia Mowry’s husband.
Keke and Cory star in the film “Brotherly Love” and have been doing press tours together to promote the film.
In one particular interview, Keke claims that her words were taken out of context when she responded to a question about Cory.
I'm sorry to be laughing at this, but it is very funny to me because it's all so twisted," Keke told Wendy "What happened was, I've known Cory since I was 10 years old. He auditioned for Akeelah and the Bee to play my big brother in the film. And in the interview I was talking about how the whole Brotherly Love cast, we kind of grew up together."
She added, “I've known most of the cast since I was very young, including Cory. And I was like, 'I've known Cory since I was 10, and I was like, I'm going to marry this man,' as a 10-year-old. It was me quoting how I was as a kid.”
But even though Keke insists that she was misquoted and meant no harm, Tia seems to be taking Keke’s comments very seriously.
Tia recently tweeted (and then quickly deleted) a subliminal message about someone mentioning a married man in an interview as not being cute.
“Saying you like married men in interviews [is] not cute…Just saying,” she wrote.
It is unclear whether Tia and Keke have since squashed the beef, but we sure hope that these two women can patch things up.
After all, celebrity interviews unfortunately get reworded and misquoted all the time and we’re pretty sure Keke has no intention of being a home wrecker.
