Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, is featured as the cover girl for Vanity Fair’s July 2015 issue.
Caitlyn’s photos for Vanity Fair were taken by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz. The cover photo for Caitlyn public introduction features her in a an all white corset, light makeup, and long, flowing red hair.
The additional photos for Vanity Fair showcase Caitlyn inside of a car and Caitlyn laying across a luxurious couch.
Since Vanity Fair’s publication of Caitlyn’s photos, the majority of public responses have been positive.
“Caitlyn Jenner for Vanity Fair Annie Leibovitz! How beautiful! Be happy, be proud, live life YOUR way!,” Kim Kardashian tweeted with Kendall adding, “be free now pretty bird.”
Caitlyn has also joined the world of social media with her own Twitter account.
Her first tweet was a message of excitement to be living as her true self.
“I'm so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn,” she tweeted. “Can't wait for you to get to know her/me.”
For the cover story of Caitlyn’s Vanity Fair shoot, she reveals that she would have felt as though she completely threw away her life if she didn’t complete the transformation to become a woman.
“If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life. You never dealt with yourself,’ and I don’t want that to happen,” she said, adding,“I’m not doing this to be interesting. I’m doing this to live.”
