Floyd “Money”Mayweather remains UNDEFEATED 50-0!

Well Saturday night at the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegaswas one of the most highly publicized and anticipated fight of the year. Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor raised eyebrows for months at their verbal beef and the discussion of integrating an MMA fighter into the Boxing world. However Floyd Mayweather shut that down by defeating McGregor in the 10th round via TKO.

Everyone knew it was going to be an adjustment for McGregor no matter how great a fighter he was. He was preparing to fight one of the greatest boxers in a Boxing match, having only MMA experience. However he held his own the first few rounds, looking awkward at times throwing jabs and uppercuts at Mayweather. His irregular style was something Mayweather had to adjust to. I am sure some fans were getting a bit frustrated wanting Floyd to just knock Conor out, but that was part of his game plan. Mayweather said, "Our game plan was to take our time, let him shoot all his heavy shots early and then take him out at the end down the stretch." Mayweather outlanded McGregor, 170 to 111, according to CompuBox, and landed 58 percent of his power shots. From Rounds 6-10, Mayweather outlanded his opponent by a count of 130-60. At the time of the stoppage, Mayweather led on all three judges' scorecards (87-83, 89-82, 89-81).

Some are saying Mayweather changed his style of fighting not just to win but to prove a point. He wasn’t going to dance around, he was going to fight it head on. Now Floyd clearly stated he is retired and proud of what he has done for the sport of boxing. On the other note, Mcgregor is looking to pick up and get better. Both fighters in the end finish handsomely with fight earnings in the several 0’s. So all love in the end right, great sportsmanship and an awesome show?

From the social media updates to live streaming the fight was entertaining enough for it to be trending. How did you watch the fight? What were your thoughts?
